Sleepless in Songerland
Well, I (Karyn) learned a valuable lesson! Never brag too soon about how wonderful your new baby is...cause it doesn't last! For the first 2 weeks, she was a dream baby. She slept ALL the time and had to be forced awake to feed. Then, it happened!!! She got her days and nights mixed up and was wide awake (and very demanding) from 12:00 a.m until 4 or 5 a.m. This went on for 8 nights and was so exhausting because I have a hard time sleeping during the day (despite being out of my mind tired!). Last night she went back to sleeping in 4 hour blocks, but I am NOT bragging, just hoping she is back on track! Any suggestions/solutions from moms out there? :) In all honesty, she is a good baby and I wouldn't trade any of it! I am just looking forward to getting a little more sleep!

More Good Stuff
A little over two weeks have gone by and so far so good! We have learned that simple tasks such as going to the store, going out to eat, or even just watching a movie take a lot more time and preparation! We appreciate all of your support and remember that visitors are always welcome! Enjoy the pictures!

Kayleigh is 2 weeks old!
We are two weeks in and things are going great! Karyn is an AWESOME mommy (like there was any doubt) and I am doing my best to help her and Kayleigh the best that I can. We have enjoyed our time with our daughter so much and we know that there are only more good times to come. I hope that everyone is doing well and we hope you enjoy the pics of our little princess!

I'm Sleepy.
Karyn and I are enjoying every minute with our little baby girl Kayleigh. Although her sleep schedule is extremely unpredictable, she is being a good baby for us. So far not too many problems other than Daddy spoiling her at all times. Anyway, here are some more pictures, so enjoy!Monday, November 5, 2007

We are having so much fun with our new addition to our family. Sleep is non-existent of course, but she is being pretty good to mommy and daddy. We definitely enjoy having visitors, and there have been plenty of them. Hope everyone is doing well and the three of us send all of our love!

More Pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She's Here!

Kayleigh Marie Songer was born on November 1, 2007 at 7:28 PM. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 20 inches long. Mommy and daddy are very relieved and proud to say the least. Karyn is doing just fine (well for a woman who has just given birth!) and I am doing my best to take care of her and our new daughter. We have had a lot of help from Julie (Karyn's mom) and a lot of visitors. We are floating on air right now and are so happy that our little miracle is finally here!
